NEVER AGAIN!!!! Paid over $3000 to have some work done on my 4WD. This included taking apart and rebuilding the transfer case. After this work I was having problems with the speedo jumping around. I took it back and they looked at it and said nothing was wrong. I insisted that it was not right so they replaced the speedo cable (& charged me the difference for a new cable). I took it back again after this and they oiled the cable and insisted everything was ok. Having done just over 8000km since the rebuild I have now had to have my transfer case totally rebuilt by a reputable mechanic. It turns out that there was a lock tab on a piece in the transfer case that Cape York automotive did not not lock in. It spun around and shredded to bits and the metal pieces took out my speedo drive. Why did Cape York not pick this up when I returned the vehicle? My advice is go to another mechanic and save yourself thousands of dollars.

Had Lockers put in the front of my car. Found out later that opposite lock do the same locker as a mate of mine got a price for his truck and they seemed a bit cheaper so I got a price for mine out of curiosity. It was considerably cheaper and when Cape york were told they didn't seem to care at all. After that I was treated like dirt from them. Quite happy to take my money though.

I have never come across a more deplorable group of thieves in my life. My car's engine was having trouble starting, so I brought it into them to check it out. After trying to contact them to get an update for two days, I eventually get a call saying that my car was ready. They told me that it seemed to be working fine and that they "took it for an extra long drive just to make sure" (it actually said this on my receipt). They charged me $475 for this "service" and sure enough, the very next day my car had the same problem. I eventually took my car to KW Auto who identified the problem as being the starter engine and fixed the car in a matter of hours. If you ever want to pay $500 for zero service and your vehicle to be taken for a joy ride, these are the guys. If you want a real mechanic, go somewhere else.
